eastern gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) Elkton, Maryland 11/03/09.
This rare white albino squirrel was featured on the front page of Maryland's Cecil Whig newspaper today. I knew I had to find him, and had a idea where the shot was taken. So camera in hand I ran out to find him. With luck on my side I found him running around digging for nuts. I was amazed at his beauty, and felt lucky to get the shot. He was working on winter and didnt want anything to do with me. I did manage to snap a few shots of him as he was making his way up high in a tree.
