These are tiny scorpions attaining a length of just 2cm. They are dark brown in colour with lighter coloured legs. They inhabit a similar terrain as the close relative Euscorpius alpha but can be clearly separated by the fact that Euscorpius alpha is uniformly dark brown all over. These scorpions, although fairly common in Italy are rarely available in the pet trade and ones that do are almost always wild-caught individuals.
