까치살모사 (살모사 科)
Agkistrodon saxatilis Emelianov

희귀종 (稀貴種)
이 종은 우리나라 살모사류 중 가장 개체수가 적어 희귀한 것으로 알려져 있다. 분포는 제주도를 위시한 도서(島嶼)를 제외하고 전국에 분포하는 것으로 되어 있다. 그러나 최근 보신용으로 남획하고 있어 발견되기 어렵게 되었다. 현재의 분포지로는 지리산(1985), 고성.양구.화천(1987), 소금강(1988) 등의 보고가 있고, 이외에도 설악산, 치악산, 무주 등 비교적 산림이 울창한 고산지역에 분포하나 발견하기가 어렵다.
