Jackson's Chameleon
Swiveling eyes, Camouflaged skin
THIS SMALL lizard is adapted to a life spent hunting insects in trees. Its pincerlike feet grip branches, and its grasping tail gives added support. Once within range of its prey, the chameleon shoots out a long, sticky tongue and scoops up its meal.
